In the initial meeting for our bibliotherapy workshop, the group will discuss what the teachers feel are the most important topics/issues facing their children. While I think this is important, I also think that they need to do an informal survey with the children afterwards – asking their classes to write down anonymously a few topics that are bothering them or that they wouldn’t mind discussing. Since this anonymous, the teacher would compile the results and report back to the workshop with his or her findings. This way they could streamline the most important bibliotherapy topics and address them with readings.
